Quantity Surveyor

Northampton, Milton Keynes

£45,000 - £52,000 Plus package (Car or allowance)

TSR Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor based in the Northampton/Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire regions. This permanent opportunity is with a regional construction business.

Projects will be largely in the education sectors including schools and universities, along with healthcare. This contractor has over 50 years of trading history and experience in the construction world.

The Role

• Commercially manage projects ensuring they are completed within budget
• Take off drawings to produce a bill of quantities
• Subcontract and supplier approval and procurement
• Prepare and issue contracts
• Visit site to ensure costs are on track and complete site measures / variation reports
• Produce cost value reports (CVR)
• Invoice reconciliation and approval for payment
• Produce final accounts

The Person

• Quantity Surveyor experience in mainstream construction
• Strong communication skills
• Good IT skills
• JCT and/or NEC forms of contract
• Organised and professional
• Relevant Degree or experience in similar role
