Carpenter - Social Housing

Location:

£18 - £19 Per hour Van

Qualifications:

• CSCS,
• DBS Basic
• Asbestos Awareness

Job Duties:

• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
• Construct and install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, and staircases
• Repair and refurbish existing structures in social housing properties
• Work with power and hand tools to complete projects efficiently
• Follow blueprints and building codes to ensure safety and quality

Required Qualifications:

• DBS Basic check
• Asbestos Awareness certification

Education:

• Relevant carpentry qualifications
• Apprenticeship or vocational training in carpentry

Experience:

• Proven experience working as a carpenter in social housing or similar environment
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials
• Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment
• Attention to detail and precision in work
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health and Safety certification
• Additional carpentry or construction-related certifications

Working Conditions:

• Work on construction sites in social housing properties
• May involve working at heights and in various weather conditions
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
• Use of personal protective equipment as required
