You will be SSSTS qualified and have experience supervisor trades and projects that include; kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, windows, doors, roofing.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors
  • Inspect properties to identify repair and maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, materials used, and costs incurred.
  • Monitor budgets and costs, making recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and address their concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management regarding the status of maintenance operations.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Proven experience in social housing or property maintenance, with a minimum of years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance, repair, and renovation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer applications.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in housing maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

TS Recruitment are working with a Property Services / Social Housing Contractor who are recruiting Maintenance Operatives across Sussex and Kent.

You will be responsible for; Painting and Decorating, Carpentry, Bricklaying and Plastering

Social Housing / Council work. Permanent opportunity.

Possession of a full current UK Driving license is essential to complete the Multi Trade Operative role. A company van is provided.

Perform inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Provide excellent customer service to tenants and address their concerns professionally.

This role will involve community to tenants houses.

  • Preparing correspondence to cover issues such as access, delay in works, changing/adding works and resolving issues
  • Dealing with residents’ complaints and issues, either via email, phone, or visits to their home
  • Collecting KPIs upon work completion, and logging the results
  • Arranging appointments for workers and subcontractors where necessary
  • Building good relationships with the residents

Essential Skills/Knowledge

  • Driving license is essential
  • Strong face-to-face customer service experience
  • Good communicator, both oral and written
